Stephen Joseph Williams, MD
Steve Williams, MD, was born and raised in northeast Missouri. He received his undergraduate degree and later his medical school training from the University of Missouri-Columbia. While in medical school, he received numerous awards and scholarships for academic and personal achievement, was selected to Alpha Omega Alpha, and graduated magna cum laude in 1998.
Dr. Williams furthered his training in Internal Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was Chief Resident in Internal Medicine from 2001-2002 and completed his fellowship in Infectious Disease at Vanderbilt in 2004. He is board certified both in Internal Medicine (2002) and Infectious Disease (2004).
Currently, he is on staff at Morristown Memorial Hospital, St. Clare’s Hospital in Denville/Dover, Hackettstown Community Hospital, and Newton Memorial Hospital. He is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, the HIV Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the New Jersey Tuberculosis Medical Advisory Board. He has also been selected by his peers as one of New Jersey’s “Top Doctors” in his field for two consecutive years.
