Ajay Mathur, MD
Ajay Mathur, MD was raised in Southbury, CT and currently resides in Monroe, NJ. He graduated from the Honors Program at the University of Maryland at College Park with a BS in Biological Sciences, earning election to the Phi Sigma Eta Honor Society. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT in 2001. Dr. Mathur completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at UMDNJ- Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he stayed on to complete his Fellowship in Infectious Diseases.
Dr. Mathur is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America and the HIV Medical Association. He serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.
Currently Dr. Mathur is on the medical staff of Monmouth Medical Center, Ocean Medical Center, Health South Rehabilitation Hospital of Tinton Falls, Shore Rehabilitation Institute , and the Specialty Hospitals of Monmouth and Kimball.
