Richard E. Krieger, MD
Richard E. Krieger, MD born and raised in Northern New Jersey. After graduating magna cum laude from Muhlenberg College in 1974 he attended New Jersey Medical School in Newark and then completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He was board certified in Internal Medicine in 1981 and Infectious Diseases in 1984.
Practicing Infectious Diseases in the Bergen, Passaic, and eastern Morris County areas since 1983, Dr. Krieger is currently on the active staff at both Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains and at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital. At Chilton he is past president of the medical staff as well as having served on the medical executive committee for five years, the Board of Trustees for two years, and he currently chairs the Infection Control Committee. He was a member of the Passaic County Rabies Task Force, the Governor's Lyme Disease Advisory Council, and was selected three times, in 2001, 2003, and 2005, as one of the "Top Doctors in New Jersey," in New Jersey Monthly as well as being included annually since 2001 in the Castle Connolly Guide to Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area
