HIV Care

ID Care is among New Jersey’s major providers of care to patients with HIV infection. Our HIV team includes advanced practical nurses and clinical staff under the direction of a dedicated group of physicians.

ID Care has developed a multi-faceted program that includes leading edge treatment, emotional support, nutrition evaluation, and clinical trials. Our physicians are leaders in the study of new medication and testing to better understand and treat HIV.

Training and Consultation

ID CARE provides training and expert consultation to HIV/AIDS health care providers in Somerset, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Mercer and Morris counties. ID CARE is a “Local Performance Site” for the NY/NJ AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC). The AETC Program is administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau.

ID CARE offers multidisciplinary training sessions taught by our Medical and Advanced Practice Nursing staff. Training opportunities include didactic lectures, clinical case-based discussions/consultations, skills-building workshops and on-site clinical consultation.

THE OPEN ARMS FOUNDATION

The Open Arms Foundation (OAF) is a non-profit foundation for people living with HIV disease and/or Hepatitis C. Established in 1999, the mission of the foundation is to enhance the delivery of health services for persons living with HIV disease and/or Hepatitis C by eliminating social barriers, assisting clients in maximizing the coordination of available health care services, providing emotional support, and promoting wellness and optimal health.

The foundation offers a variety of support groups located at ID CARE Hillsborough, Somerset and Princeton offices. In addition, OAF offers 2 unique programs; EQUI-FEST and EAST GREETS WEST-A WHOLISTIC APPROACH. Participants of “Equi-Fest“ celebrate an outdoor experience complete with collegiality, food, music and HORSES. “East Greets West-A Wholistic Approach” is a one-day workshop exploring the benefits of including complementary body/mind modalities in conjunction with standard pharmaceutical regiments.
