Rachna Gupta MD, MPH
Rachna Gupta MD, MPH was born in Woodriver, Illinois
and raised in India and Texas. After graduating cum laude from Texas
A&M University in College Station, TX, in 1992, she worked in
a research laboratory at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
in New York City, prior to entering medical school. She received
her medical degree (MD) from The State University of New York at
Buffalo in 1998. During medical school she also earned a Masters
Degree in Public Health (MPH) from the Johns Hopkins University,
School of Hygiene and Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland.
She completed her internal medicine residency at the
University of Maryland, Baltimore, Maryland in 2001. She subsequently
pursued her Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of
Washington (UW) in Seattle, Washington and completed her training
there in 2005. In addition to her clinical training at UW, she performed
research on Herpes Simplex Virus and Human Immunodeficiency Virus
(HIV) infections. She has coauthored several infectious diseases
publications in academic journals including the Journal of Infectious
Diseases, Expert Opinion in Pharmacotherapy, and Journal of Clinical
Microbiology. She returned to New Jersey in 2005 and joined the
Infectious Diseases Associates in 2006.
Dr. Gupta is Board Certified in Internal Medicine
(2001) and in Infectious Diseases (2005). She is a member of the
American College of Physicians /American Society of Internal Medicine
and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. She is on staff
at St. Clares Hospital in Denville and Morristown Memorial Hospital
in Morristown.
