Clinical Research
Clinical research helps to identify the latest &
most effective medications, tests, & vaccines that improve treatment,
evaluation, & prevention. Current areas of study include HIV
and AIDS.
Educational Programs
ID CARE Educational Programs teach medical students
& new physicians on the principles of infectious disease. Programs
are offered to physicians, nurses in practice, & pharmaceutical
practitioners on latest developments in infectious diseases.
Clinical Trials
Clinical Research supports the on-going search to
identify new medications, more effective laboratory tests, and treatment
strategies. At ID Care, Clinical Research helps improve upon
current patient treatment and quality of life while allowing for
continuous evaluation of infectious diseases. Current Clinical Research
studies at ID Care are addressing HIV, AIDS, and Lyme Disease.
Clinical Trials are vital elements in the evaluation
of new medications for the treatment of infectious diseases. Our
clinical trials are used to help answer important questions and
evaluate current treatments.
Pharmaceutical Clinical Trials compare, review and
evaluate the response to a new or updated treatment versus placebo,
or standard treatment versus different treatment options. National
Institute of Health (NIH) sponsored Clinical Trials monitor current
treatment options, the quality of life, medication adherence, and
prevention questions.
ID Care is contracted by several major pharmaceutical
manufactures to perform their sponsored Clinical Trials. We also
perform Clinical Trials in conjunction with the NIH as a member
of the Community Program for Clinical Research on AIDS, and are
a principal participant in the AIDS Education and Training Center
(AETC)
Clinical Trials are performed at all four ID Care
offices by our highly trained and experienced physician-led research
team and our dedicated full-time clinical research staff.
