Damanpreet K. Ubhi, M.D.
Damanpreet Ubhi, MD earned her medical degree from Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla, India. She did her residency in Internal Medicine at Morristown Memorial Hospital, NJ from 2005-2008, where she was voted the “Best Resident” three consecutive years by Internal Medicine faculty and fellow residents. She was also awarded Lester Granet Humanitarian Award by Morristown Memorial faculty for poise, warmth, compassion for patients, and exceptional clinical skills. She completed her Infectious Disease fellowship in Strong Memorial Hospital at the University of Rochester in 2010. During her fellowship she did additional training in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene at University of West Virginia.
Dr. Ubhi was Board Certified in Internal Medicine in 2008 and Infectious Disease in 2010. She is one of the few physicians nationally to achieve certification in Tropical Medicine and Travelers’ Health.
Currently, she is on staff at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Newton Memorial Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital, and St. Clare’s Hospital. Dr. Ubhi is also a member of the American Medical Association, Infectious Disease Society of America and American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
